Burleson County will receive bids for GLO CDBG-MIT Contract #24-065-057-E567, a street rehabilitation project located in Burleson County, Texas until 2:00 PM on Friday, February 20, 2026, at the Burleson County Courthouse 100 West Buck St., Suite 407, Caldwell, TX 77836. Bids must be addressed to: County Auditor. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:05 PM on Friday, February 20, 2026, in the Courtroom.
Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows:
1. WINGWALL (SW-0)(HW=12FT)
2. MTL W-BEAM GD FEN (METAL POST)
3. GUARDRAIL END TREATMENT MOVE AND RESET
4. TEMPORARY SPL SHORING

A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid [for those contracts that exceed $100,000]. A certified check or bank draft payable to Burleson County or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond.
The project to be constructed will be financed with assistance from the General Land Office (GLO) under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant - Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) program and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing Davis-Bacon and Related Acts wage rate, as issued by the Department of Labor and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin. Adherence to Burleson County Section 3 Policy is required for all contracts.
All contractors and subcontractors must be cleared (not suspended or debarred) prior to any formal action authorizing the award of a contract to the contractor. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, Veteran-Owned Businesses, Section 3 Businesses, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids.
Burleson County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by Burleson County for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder’s qualifications prior to the contract award.
